Definitely not a replacement for clear bra as far as chip are concerned, but then again the only way I like clear bra is if it's Xpel Ultimate film and it's a full panel wrap. Once you polish enough cars with swirled up pre-cut film you will learn to hate them!

Very informative reading this thread. I have been a big fan of clear bra on my last few cars because I hate rock chips, admittedly less of a detailing kind of guy because I hardly wash or wax my cars. Sorry but I work a lot and don't always have time to do it. I do garage them so I think they stay cleaner than the average car. Just learning about this Opti Coat stuff very recently. Do the rest of you agree with the statement above, that the OC should be applied on TOP of the clear bra? I can kind of see how this would make some sense as it might help cover the edges of the film and eliminate that unsightly residue of wax or dirt or whatever that often gets caught on the edges.

Sup Kevin, Bryan, Bryan. :happy0180:
I have the M3 I used for my
at my house right now. It was coated last August and still looks mint! I'm just doing the interior but I plan to wash it tonight to show how well it has held up over the last year.

Thanks for the input. Have you actually tested this? I have a self healing film on my car with oc and it still self heals normally.
