Hey man,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the information. Too often forums get turned sour and people aren't helpful. The 86 community continues to impress.

No footage from go pro here. I think I have one session on my cell phone. I'll see what I can find.

Fargo does have a dyno, SRD, but he does not tune ECUTEK. He probably could tune an OFT, but those aren't the best for FI.

Proving Grounds in Brainerd you mean? Yes... There are about 10 of us from Fargo that are going.

Yup. Proving Grounds. Myself and My roommate are signed up. He's bringing his release edition 2015 TC.

If you plan on running any of the road course events, make sure your brakes are ready for the task.

Also.... Did you used to be on Fargostreet? That username looks very familiar.

Got a Stoptech Brake upgrade kit with Hawk pads on the way now.

And yeah... Used to be on Fargo Street. Drove a Black Tiburon with an OEM style CF hood.

Make sure to get good fluid(not from a parts store) for that kit. RBF600 is a solid option.

Allrighty,

So question for the veterans here. I've got my Stoptech kit going on this weekend. Flashed 91oct map last night (so much better). Brain bucket, gloves and some driving shoes. Tires getting mounted tomorrow hopefully. Hotel, entry fees, all that is paid.

What else should I be bringing/prepping... First track day since 2002ish, and it wasn't nearly this big or organized.

Need long pants / long sleeve shirt for Road Course. Autox is fine for whatever clothes.
Of course make sure to clean out all the random crap and remove your floor mats.

Bring tape or other means to number your car as well.

Other than that, it's just nice to have stuff. Canopy if you're going to hang by the track all day, tools, Go Pro if you have it too.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Is there any restrictions on how the numbers have to be marked? Also, the number corresponds with the number you chose when registering correct?

Have to have numbers on each side and hood/windshield. Tape, magnets, vinyl are most common. Beware some magnetic numbers will fly off on road course.

Autox and road course numbers can be different, but best to just stick with one set.

Cars will be assigned numbers at the event. So, don't pre tape a number on your car. It will be given to you during tech.

If you are going to do the road course, make sure to check your fluids and consider an oil change. These cars run hot, so its easy to break oil down fast.
