I'm not upset over it because it's just a natural reaction that I've seen countless times over my 30+ years. I just find it hilarious how responses can swing to extreme sides of the pendulum due to certain variable factors.

I love me some data and stats and have started compiling some of the ones on the users here.
So far (long way from done): 98% male 82% of them 16 to 35 years old 92% tech related employment/in school for 8% current/prior military service So ya an attractive young lady posts here picture the responses are different then normal! I do find it telling that many (most?) of the females that come on here post an actual picture of them selves and have a username that is distinctly feminine. This can certainly be viewed as an attempt to draw attention to themselves but can also just be a result of the Facebook mentality. Most of these members do not stick around long! There is a very small group of ladies that are regular contributors but in almost every one of their cases they chose avatars and user names that more neutral and just become "one of the guys" to everybody else. Oh, and yes, historically those that identify them selves as young, attractive women get treated differently on here and every other car forum I have ever been a member of.

4) Help. Be helpful, we are all probably here because of a question and people will go out of their way to help you. Try to do the same if you have the answer to a question posted. True enthusiasts are helpful to others, noob or veteran alike. If you think not telling others about some technical info you have will make you and your car unique and prefer to be unique rather than share this information, then this forum is not for you. Help each other with questions and answers and I guarantee you, one day it will pay you back on here.
6) Make suggestions in the suggestions forum. We promise to do our best to accomodate your suggestions. We've made so many changes around here already based on people's feedback and we love doing it, its part of the fun for us ! From the FT86 Forum Club Rules thread I would agree with the prior post about plastidip. You can get a lot of perspective and remove it when you want to. I'm also looking for some rims that look good, but haven't had any luck. Personally, I would like a neutral color with bright calipers and lugs. I'm thinking orange for me.

OP is obviously in the tech industry; running her own website with online payment options and other cool features... Still, I think you need to count a few more heads to reach statistical significance. |

On a slight tangent, I've encountered quite a few project managers in the IT industry with the mindsets of drill sergeants.
CODE! CODE! CODE! TEST! LAUNCH! REPEAT! (They added the "REPEAT!" after completing their Scrum Master training.) |
