that could just be a JDM only option.
i was hoping for that there would be more changes than that. like what we had on the 1st gen. |

I bet in the US we’ll only get the bland all black interior unfortunately. I like the look of this better than the BRZ, might have to switch sides next gen!

I'm not sure if I can convey this properly but, the front end of the GR86 has a certain balance that makes the car look right to me. It might be that it looks more substantial and is cleaner, also it appears a bit rounder from certain angles compared to the BRZ.
Not sure if any media have driven it but I'm excited and looking forward to owning one when I can. |

Front looks cleaner than BRZ's.
Happy with my MX-5, but if I needed more than two seats again, I'd get an 86.

The article says it has 235hp and weighs 2799 curb.
Compared to 228hp on the BRZ. |

Maybe Subaru didn't have final numbers, maybe it was rounded differently, who knows. Numbers are the same for both, 173kW: |

I thought the cr for the new 2.4 was 13.5:1...however, the GR86 spec sheet says 12.5:1

Well that is a lot of hype for an announcement that is about as anticlimactic as you can get.
Slightly different lights and interior trim and a different bumper. So pretty much the differences between the 86 and the BRZ that have always existed. I still strongly dislike the side vents and running boards. There is no way the whole model line should be branded as GR since that is pure marketing bullshit.

As many Hakone's will get tracked as any other version. The majority of the PP cars will never ever see a track. Pretentious "enthusiast" is pretentious.

Good Morning/Evening to wherever y'all are. WHEW, I'm glad to see the GR86 in full form. Product delays, especially in the Automotive market, are nothing to scoff at now so I'm glad Toyota made sure to plan a good release despite the rumors.
There's still the Pre-Production builds that are probably in the final series of Extensive Testing but there's reassurance with the Press Release that Production will start "soon" with Toyota's approval. On a lighter side, maybe Toyota and Subaru are trying show that Red and Blue cars can coexist in a world full of Pearl White and Metallic Gray. I'll need some time to process the differences between each car but I do believe the GR86 has a better looking front bumper. But my desire for World Rally Blue is possibly stronger. |

Curious to see what the actual changes are that Toyota made to make it ‘sharper’ and ‘more engaging’.
Bet you a dollar it’s harder rear springs. Again. |
