I have a guy up here I know who does heavy import track tuning, (mostly huge turbo applications at high boost) and I approached him with the idea of tuning for the ESC really really cautiously cause I was afraid he would laugh at me.

He instead said he's been looking all over for someone interested in running an ESC, and he is actually putting together his own little kit that runs a modified tiny little Garrett turbo. I ultimately decided that Rob's kit is a whole lot less prototype-y and cheaper, so I'm going with it.

So it seems those in the know are past some of the stigma around electric solutions.

Yep. I've ordered a few things from China before by EMS/USPS. From the time it leaves the port in China, you don't know anything for 1-2 weeks. Then it can be stuck in customs for a week or more without updates. The price of cheap (or free) shipping and low cost products.

Ughhh, I have the mod bug. Must. Save. Money.

But so much want for upgrades. 1.5 dump pack conversion. Aux charger. Openflash headers. The ESC started it all...

On the side note, I just received my TRD quick shifter today But I won't have all of the tools I need to install it until end of next week. It's not fair... Trans/diff fluid change and MTEC shifter springs are planned for after that.

Canada Post tends to be a little pessimistic. When Rob first shipped mine it said "Expected delivery: 2014/05/26" and I almost wept. Then the estimates kept going down and it showed up yesterday.

I ended up using approximately 3 ft.

Also you can try going to an auto parts store and check to see if they have air ducts.

I noticed autozone had 30 in ducting for 15 bucks.
How did you hold the hose in place?

My car: BRZ

Hose is held in place through pressure with a piece of plastic near the radiator

Near the controller in the engine bay: zip ties.

Let me try to find some pictures.

Frs:

Zip ties at both ends

If I had this system with an AT, I would wire a relay in series with the floor switch and activate it by the Sport button. It's a natural.
Interesting! I'll think about that.

What would be really cool is to replace the (useless) clock in the console with the voltmeter, and use the four-way flasher button as the arming switch.

The gains are mostly above 5000 rpm. Shiv saw a increase of 11hp peak going from single to dual dump. The 1.5 conversion gets about 90 percent the performance of the dual dump pack so we are estimating between 7 to 10 HP peak HP.

Shiv hit 217 with the dual on his standard phantom map without any changes.

Thanks! Shiv's 217 was with a catless header i assume? I'm hoping the 1.5 dump will get me to at least 195WTQ. I'll be hitting the dyno once installed.
