But then again, I know it's a loss and no point. I rather just upgrade the parts i want and it will be way cheaper.
It will be my next if they are not ruined by then.

But....

I bet the top trim wit the sport pack will be a $40K + car here in Canada (if we even get it in Canada).

I wonder if that performance package will be priced reasonably. A Brembo big brake kit is expensive compared to its competitors. If the OE Brembo parts are priced right I would definitely consider that for an upgrade.

The other updates don't seem very big, Sachs dampers are good I'm sure, but if someone was going to buy aftermarket coilovers for their adjustment capability, redesigned stock dampers don't have much value. The same story goes for the rear sway bar.

I like the wheels too.

The yellow is definitely for the special series car, look at that spoiler, no way that is standard:

Actually it is standard. Same spoiler on the new BRZ/86 for top trims

My guess is itll be a 2-3k option in line with other performance packs offered for other cars

I doubt they will be pushing the Canadian price that high. That would put it a bit higher than the current price of a base Golf R, which is a different class of vehicle.

The PP looks to consist of the bigger brakes (they aren't huge, as they don't require 18" wheels), the alloys, and the Sachs dampers. Given the relatively low price of the base car they can't go crazy here - I'd guess $3500 premium.

Yeah it will probably be expensive. I remember when i was shopping for the 86/BRZ I went to Subaru first and they were trying to sell me the Azora which was like $32,500+taxes and all that car had was basically a aero kit over the normal edition haha.

The brembos should be the same off the STI cars. For reference, those (like mine) can actually clear 17"x 7.5" wheels.

Looking at the official photos out today yes the shape is identical, but on the standard car it's painted body colour, not black.

I'm curious about the tires that come with the performance pack. Brembo brakes and primacy tires don't really make sense together. Maybe something like the dunlops found on the WRX and STI?

Just checked Mazda's website the Miata's Sports Package is $4400 CAD and it comes with: Brembo front brakes, forged BBS 17" rims, and Recaros.

OE Sachs twin tube dampers (like what you get from the Eibach Prokit) is probably at least $500 bucks? Let's say $2500 bucks for the Brembos and slightly wider rims (not sure if they are even lighter) then about $3000 CAD should be a good range (that's if the tires remain the same as based model).

Yes I agree this makes no sense cuz you need better tires to stop with the better brakes, but then I've read before that stock brake pads that come with Brembo calipers on production cars usually aren't really that great?

Oh I don't know. Maybe just regionally but when a base FRS can sell for $30K then this is a different realm completely. There is a lot more than just the brakes added to the car and they are not going to just give that stuff away. I do not think $40 will be far off.

You have a facility in Detroit, right? Just buy a house there for $3K and buy and register the car in Michigan.
