I'm trying the Carbone Lorraine (CL) - RC6, but I'm probably going with those GLoc's next time (unless these are as amazing as the rumors say).

The SCCA Club Trials were a blast today, it was great to see so many twins out at the track. From the times I got from the people close to the PDX twins, I'm confident in saying that all the twins broke 1:15, which is nothing to sneeze at (take that Miatas!)

I set a new personal best of 1:09.1 during the 4th session:

I think all the twins had at least one spin today, I got mine during the last session and then went for a multiple spin, big off with Bonnie in her final session. No damages to any twins were reported.

I can help you with brake pads....

Well while yall were doing the SCCA Time Trials I got to do the drivers edge on the 1.7 CW. Since they seem to think that autox and SCCA tracks nights mean nothing I got to start in the Green novice group with an instructor. It was might first time running CW on the 1.7 so that might have factored in. On the first day I couldn't get more than a few corners before hitting traffic. It was rather annoying to be honest. I had a check-ride to move up to the next group on the final session of the day. So the second day I got to start in a different group, although still with an instructor. Most of day 2 was the same. Still the same issues with blue group. Did a check-ride to go solo and after a little over a lap got approved. The upside of the whole event was the last session when about half of the group had already gone home. Finally got a few laps without traffic.

I think the drivers edge group is great for someone that is completely new or someone that needs help figuring out how to drive a specific platform. The classes had information that was geared toward people that are new or haven't done much driver training.

Ill probably do another track event with them as it seemed like they were gonna move me up another group. Maybe it gets better in the higher groups. Otherwise I think ill be joining yall at the next time trials as I'm pretty sure they wont make me do the novice dance.

What pads were those?

And I'll sell you my BNIB Hawk Street/Race Pads for $100 if you pick them up from me.

Unless you're going to upgrade to the AP Racing Kit (I like mine).

Deal, I'll bring them to the fluid swap and/or SCCA Banquet, whichever comes first.

Fluid swap may have to be more than 1 day. Hopefully a Sat and Sun will be enough. We have a good amount of cars in for it.

Not sure if this is still accurate, but I have 1/21 for ER banquet and 2/17 for SCCA banquet on my calendar. I plan to attend both, and the fluid swap, so we値l see which comes up first.

Registration for the first two (it's a two day event but both Saturday and Sunday count as separate "races" for Club Trials) Club Trials of 2018 just opened. We'll be on the 1.7CCW at MSR-C.

$175 for one day or $225 for both days, the schedule looks like it gives us 6 twenty minute sessions each day (it might just be 3 each day with 2 groups of CT, the schedule is a little confusing). I'm signed up for both days (there is a test and tune Friday so you could do 3 days straight, but even I'm not that crazy).

No PDX for this one, we're sharing with the Winter Festival Club Race and Race School. There are going to be about 9 Club Trials events for 2018 (a couple will probably be like this one where it's two days and each day counts as it's own event). I'm planning on making all of them for 2018, I had a blast at them in 2017.

You got a link? I don't see the reg on motorsportsreg or on the scca site. Still has all the stuff from last event. Or did I find it with the TX Region SCCA Winter Festival sign up thing?
