For my senior capstone project, my group and I determined the feasibility of taking Apricot Hill from Gran Turismo and seeing if you could actually build it somewhere. Here's a few images of my designs, and you can read all about it here.
Rough layout in Bob's Track Builder:  Imported alignment point into Microstation:  Imorted into SketchUp just for a cool image:  Overlay of track over plot of land in McConnelsville, OH:  Final conceptual model:  We had to present this at a public expo, so for the heck of it I brought in my steering wheel and TV so that people could race on the track:
