Like The changed final gearing although not huge does give a tiny bit more 'pep' off the line. Doubt it gives a measurable increase in over all speed but it is nice. The ride is much better but doesn't sacrifice much stiffness to get it. So far I have not had a single click, clank, creak or any other interior noise. Not one. Not for everybody but going from the basic FRS to the quasi luxury features of the 86 is fantastic! I for one forgot how much I loved auto climatic controls and keyless everything. No more muttering under my breath digging in my pocket for a bloody key. The interior as a whole looks much better and I never disliked the old one. The info center is handy. They left the old cruise stalk alone. It's immediate response is great! Don't like as much That goddamned horrible HU. Worst I have ever heard in a car built after 1968. The alcantara and leather seats are pretty but don't have the flex of the cloth so they feel pretty hard in comparison. Hoping they break in a bit. Love the function of the HVAC controls. Completely hate the number and size of the lights they thought they needed as indicators for it. They just went overboard. The info display is interesting but the whole shove a square peg in a round hole rankles my sense of order. They could have at least rounded the corners or something. That final drive that makes starting out so nice really impacts mileage when 98% of your driving is done between 70 and 75 on the highway I have gone from 32MPG to 28. Not that I am a Prius mileage fanatic or anything but that is a substantial change. I used to cruise at around 3200 and now am over 3500 most of my commute. Oh and that slippery steering wheel cover. Who thought that was good? All in all the differences are very minor and the complaints trivial. The BRZ Limited owners have had most of the niceties all along but the FRS owner that would like a few comforts will enjoy them. As far as driving it goes the changes are very small. If you liked one you will like the other. Of course many will change things no matter what year they get.

The render is an edited version of the Lotus Elite concept. Credit to the people that posted it on Paultan's comments. |

i was 10 minutes before signing the paperwork on a manual genesis 3.8 track. then i test drove it just to be sure, and it all fell apart. it's a 4-door luxury car with 2 doors welded over, stiffer dampers but soft springs to give it a phoned-in sports car feel, and BLUE LIGHTS everywhere. it's like driving a k-mart special...

So what does the Supra concept have to do with this? Random renders are random.

Very odd that you're getting 28mpg on the highway at those speeds. I get over 30mpg combined 10/90 city/hwy, with highway speeds being 75-80mph. Highway only I'm around 33. If you were at 3200 rpm with 4.1 gears, you should be at 3350 with 4.3 at the same speed, not 3500. Hard to believe, but given your cruise rpm and mileage, clutch slip? |

In my opinion, they killed the car for that throttle response effect. Can't you just swap with an AT differential? Used AT differentials should be cheap on ebay. I would do that immediately. |
