Worst Christmas ever. Everyone so sick. Just now feeling better. Wife didn't even get Christmas cards out this year, everyone sick.

Then my son ruins a $300 prime rib over cooking it on his fancy Traeger. Nothing like a well done prime rib.

Then, there is 4 dogs in my house.

I'd imagine the 4 dogs at Ho's place could go through 300 bucks of prime rib pretty quickly though

does the adage "well done prime rib is still prime rib" hold no weight?

Or are we talkin' burnt to a black crust "well done"?

It was an actual USDA prime roast. My son had never cooked one before. I told him it really wasn't the piece of meat to learn with, and we could cook it perfect medium rare in the oven, but no, he wanted to show off his Treager.

It was a touch over medium well. We still ate it.

I thought you had one of those meat probes that sent a signal to a smart phone? He didn't use it - or he didn't believe it?
