A preface to the serious question....
I do a lot of work, as a musician/accompanist, with musical theater folks and actors/actresses, and the vast, VAST majority of that work is very pleasant, folks are very kind to each other, and quite grateful.
OK, got the preface out of the way...
These folks are SO good at portraying pretty much the entire range of human thought and emotions, whether or not it is real for them at the time or not...
Sooo.. the question...
Is anyone here married to or in a serious long-term relationship with a great actor/actress and, if so, how do you know when they're not acting?!?!?

Sort of freaks me out..
Omg, who has time to read that

Not everything fits in a dutch oven...

And the water is often gone by the time it's to temp.

This is one place where I sorta wonder if I'd like to get a steam oven.

I've spilled boiling water on oven doors without trouble before, but that's probably dumb luck!

There's a reason I bought pre-roasted coffee this week... since I can't (yet) roast inside due to garbage ventilation fan in the kitchen (I mean, who cooks these days? 4" is plenty for kitchen fan exhaust when it barely puts out a match held right below it...) and I'd be quite worried that the near zero (F) temps and the glass of the roaster just might not mix so well.

Not sure where to post this 'cause there's, like, a quintizilliobillion threads on the valve recall, so random thoughts gets it. Plus, the regulars who know stuff are here...

Dropped off my car for the valve recall on Tuesday this week, and pick up a loaner Corolla at no charge. Got a call from service manager on Friday at about 4pm saying my car is ready. I was right in the middle of cooking a nice three course Friday night dinner for my wife and I (I take cooking fairly seriously), and could not stop in the middle without scrapping everything and wasting a bunch of of stuff, and I was scheduled to work all day Sat. and Sun. Told the guy thank you, but I can't make it in until Monday to get the car. He was a little miffed, and said that he was only allocated "two days of rental" to cover the recall, but that he didn't want to "incovenience me" so he'd try and work it out. I'm going to pick up my FRS tomorrow (Monday).
Sooo... ummm.. unless I misread the recall notice, we are entitled to a rental car from the moment we get the notice until the work has been done, no? I could have had the rental for a full month had I grabbed it the day after I got the notice.

Should I be a tad miffed, or am I wrong?

I roast my coffee on an Origo alcohol stove in the garage. Works great!

Everybody acts at some point in time or another. As long as they don't keep referring to a script or their isn't some dude saying "no not like that I want more *insert emotion here when you are wit them just take them at face value and forget they are actors.
