The other main company from the show is about 3 blocks away from home. I even worked for them briefly in the 80s. I should have stayed there I could be a TV star by now.

Nope. Just fun to see them. I have drove past at least 3 of the recovery's from the show actually being done in real life.
https://www.discovery.ca/Shows/Heavy-Rescue-401 I have an interest since it was one of my many tasks in the Army. I played with a recovery wrecker for about 4 months and it was one of the few temporary assignments that I considered applying for for a longer term posting. Did start down that road when I got out but quickly learned that you need to be just the right combination of phenomenally dumb but incredibly brilliant while not having a great sentimental attachment to all your fingers in order to make a career out of it.

Why are North American trucks so ugly.
Look at the beautiful trucks they have in Europe. |

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess because both those are ugly as hell to me.

On the phone with a patient in the hospital I do IT support for. They are upset that their iPad is not connecting to the guest network. There are 3 other people waiting behind them to talk to me for help, which could all potentially be emergency department calls about non functioning equipment. This poses a huge patient safety risk.
Who gave this person our number and why won't they just accept that their iPad won't connect? Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Typing this while they try creating a new user profile that has no wireless history, as a final troubleshooting step. Man, scope of support people. |

Shock heating or cooling = bad. When I bake bread, I put a pan of water on the bottom rack when preheating the oven, rather than wait to add water once the oven is warmed up. Alternately, as maybe you (or was it another poster?) suggested earlier, I bake the bread in a dutch oven with the cover on, which works just as well.

OK... serious question, and I am NOT casting any aspersions...
A preface to the serious question.... I do a lot of work, as a musician/accompanist, with musical theater folks and actors/actresses, and the vast, VAST majority of that work is very pleasant, folks are very kind to each other, and quite grateful. OK, got the preface out of the way... These folks are SO good at portraying pretty much the entire range of human thought and emotions, whether or not it is real for them at the time or not... Sooo.. the question... Is anyone here married to or in a serious long-term relationship with a great actor/actress and, if so, how do you know when they're not acting?!?!? Sort of freaks me out..
