If you bought new they should cover it no questions. If used they don't know what happened in between the two parties or when the other owner removed it, as it could have been tweaked or something so it's hard for them to cover it then.

Would this still be really loud when coupled with a catted front pipe Perrin and a resonated Perrin Catback?

I want a header, but I don't want the immense noise level that goes with it. DOn't want to have the stock header back system either.

I have a catless front pipe and resonated Perrin catback. I think it's the perfect combo. It has a thunderous crack when hammering down on the throttle but it's easy to live with when driving easy/normal.

*edit* if you go with a catted front pipe it will be very tolerable.

Here is mine. Skip to 1:10 if you want a little rev [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmSj0KqKe7k"]Scion FRS Borla UEL, Perrin Catback - YouTube[/ame]

Thanks so much for posting the vid. That sounds really good.

I'm gonna have to get a catted front pipe if I go for a Borla header though. Need to keep at least one cat in my state.

Welcome, and thanks.

I would start with the header and catback. See how you like that before buying a whole new front pipe.

What exactly happened?

I've called them and gotten 2 headers replaced no questions asked. They even shipped me the header before I sent the old one back so I did not have any down time.

Did you buy the header new?

There has to be more of a backstory than "Borla won't warranty my header"

I bought a header second hand.... It isn't welded together. That is the back story.
They refuse to acknowledge they manufactures it incorrectly. It has a total of 50 miles on it.
