This is why when I remodel the basement, I've replaced all the switch to bigger ones. Like this

Bigger one, I don't get shocked... or at least I haven't yet. I just want simple one push on/off switch, but now days a lot of em are going for smart switch w bluetooth/wifi connection which is pointless imo and doesn't have or make the switch I like.

Anyone else have those problem?
Well, no, but it's a damn good thing you weren't around when I was a kid … cause you would have been toast by now -

I suggest you do an experiment and have a couple of other people flip the switches in your house - if they get shocked, replace the switches, with grounded ones, if the wiring for a ground is in place.

Oh trust me, I've flicked the breaker before, just trying to turn on the light. (not my house) I got bigger shock than usual, but nothing bad. I'm pretty sure if I keep up, I'll have heart attack lol

As for my house switches, sadly I'm the only have that gets shocked. My wife, my mom, step-dad, my wife's parents & few of my friends turned on & off all different switches in my house. Nothing... except me.

Will it be a new super hero, or a new super villain?

OK, here ya go, the long version, the short version and an experiment.

The long version:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2763825/

The short version:

"The body has resistance to current flow. More than 99% of the body's resistance to electric current flow is at the skin".

Conclusion: You are a thin skinned person -

The experiment:

Now, in order to understand the magnitude which skin thickness plays in your sensitivity to shock, quantification will be necessary.

Materials needed:

a Intensity instrument such as a Twin Stim III

two adults (you and your wife)

a pad and pen

Methodology:

You and your wife take a shower at the same time, using the same soap and dry off thoroughly.

Flip a coin to see who goes first.

Tape the electrodes of the instrument to the left and right nipples of the first tested person.

Make two readings as the other person slowly increases the intensity, recording at where a sensation is first felt and the second point at orgasm.

Switch tested and tester person and repeat the procedure. Conduct three replications on each person.

Average the readings and select an intensity half way between first sensation and orgasm.

Validation: Connect one electrode to your wife's right nipple and the other electrode to your left nipple. Turn on the instrument and see what happens.

Summary:

After several sessions you will no longer notice any electrical shock from light switches.

Stop wearing fuzzy rabbit slippers in the winter and dragging your feet when you walk.
