Damn dude, be safe. They did nothing to treat the main roads. I'm happy I got my winters on a couple weeks ago. I didn't want to do another winter on those primacys.

FCPS issued an apology for not closing, apparently there were students hanging out in auditoriums this morning because the teachers hadn't made it in yet.

I'm gonna smack you for not putting them on camel lol.

And pre-treatments don't really work when the grounds already frozen. Low temps killed it.

Stock tires are lousy in the snow. I was hoping to have some fun like every other rwd car I've had, but couldn't even make it up the hill to get out of my neighborhood.

I went across the street to get some Chik-fil-a... got stuck on the slight uphill part of the side street that led to the location. Spinning tires, rooster tails, and all that.

Ended up baking up at an angle so my rear tire was against the curb, then going in reverse, using the friction of the tire rubbing against the curb to scoot my car backwards to the corner where there wasn't any ice (just a puddle of slush). Then was able to make a U-turn and get out. =D

Car was at a ~30deg or less angle to the curb the whole time so I didn't touch my wheels, and I'm on stock height, so no body work touched the curb. Inspected afterwards, and no sign of damage.

conclusion: BRZ in winter blows. Next car will need to be AWD (CLA AMG?)

Did a rooster tail show in my work parking lot to move 5 ft from my parking space to some drivable surface to get out. Home now. Vdot punted this one for sure.

My Conti DWS's did amazing today. The only thing that was annoying was having to get around all the slow people. I mean really... 5mph on a wet road is a bit off...

Even the buses were having a hard time getting around this gentle curve in my neighborhood. At one point, there were 3 school and 2 Metro buses blocking my way out. Not like it mattered, stock tires, I stayed home. The school buses eventually busted out chains to get traction.

Commuting was as cluster today and a lot of neighborhood roads still aren't plowed. Hopefully won't be as stressful tomorrow.

I went outside to get some food, and it did surprisingly okay. Of course there was a bunch of spinning and going sort of side ways, but nothing dangerous or problematic. I can't wait for more snow!

I couldn't get up my street from my house so I went around. Then I thought it was a good idea to stop by my friend's house who lives on a street that doesn't get plowed. I had to make like an emergency ramp, reverse onto it, and then sled all the way down. It was like sledding on the snow.
