To the people running aftermarket wheels, did you all bother with hub centric rings? I've heard that they really aren't necessary but some people also say that they're a good idea. Just looking to get some opinions.

I run them, but they aren't necessary. Any tapered lug seat will self center the wheel anyways when torqued in the proper procedure.

Run them. Keep the wheel weight where it belongs, on the hub. Plastics are ok, aluminum is best. I run machined aluminum ones, inexpensive piece of mind. Especially if there is big difference in the hub bore size of the wheel or the wheel is bigger/ heavier then OEM.

I need help. Is anyone around Raleigh that are experienced at driving manual and will be available to give me an assessment on my driving over the weekend? I just started driving manual over a week ago, and I think I' not doing it right because the car gives off a burnt smell after I drove it, also the gear shifting is not very smooth. I need help before I do more damage to the drive train. We can grab a few cold beers afterwards. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it tonight or not. I might just get there pretty late, so don't wait up for me.
