Ughh, I don't want to hear about taxes. This is the worst time of year for a freelancer.

The sad thing is, I'm pretty sure what ever I get back from taxes is going straight to some other expense...

Yeah (the high pitched squeek, not the "tapping"). I just switched to Shell (I used to use Chevron) and crickets went away. I'm on my second tank now. Going with the scientific approach and gonna switch back to chevron for the next two tanks to see if it does come back, unless the additives in the shell stay for longer than that and the crickets don't come back...

I don't care about the crickets. I hope my car has them forever. I even like them.

Garage
Shell gas plus cold weather has shut my crickets up for the most part on short to medium trips (SF to SD brought them back at full force).

Yup, to be honest, I did kinda miss it, gives it "character". It was oddly too quiet pulling into my garage without those crickets.

Mine is temperature related, longer trip it will come back. Have not heard it for a while because of cold weather and not driving her much. Shell gas since day 1.

Spoken like a true Subaru owner. If the motor is making noises and there are no rattles, it just seems like the car has no soul. Haha
