Hey guys, just throwing this out there. What if we had an autocross class just for beginner FR-S/BRZ owners to run their cars at the next autocross? By next I mean the first September event as I will not be attending the 25th of August because of FormulaDrift Vegas. I was thinking of putting together a prize pack for top 3 drivers with a fellow FR-S owner that works for Findlay Toyota. The only thing I would ask as far as rules on the cars are keep it stock at least for this event and I mean all stock including wheels and tires. We would have you run a novice group so we could keep everyone in the same class. I'm just trying to get more people out there driving to see the limits of their cars while also keeping it competitive. Look at my previous posts for the upcoming dates. If we can have 5+ people sign up and drive it would be great. Let me know what you all think.

That would be fantastic... except my car is now no longer stock.

Some of us from California will be in your wonderful state/city for various reasons, mine being FD, during the weekend of the 24-26 (Aug). Will there be a meet or any thing going on?? I wouldn't mind meeting some good folks.

What have you done to it so far? I'll see what I can come up with to make it fair for everyone just as long as enough people want to run. Maybe we can do it by what the SCCA uses for singling out driver performance rather than the car, called the PAX system. If enough people with modified FR-S/BRZs want to run by all means do. The more the merrier. I just want to see more of these cars being driven at different events. I know some of our focuses for buying these cars are different so I can totally understand if some of you may not want to run your cars.

I would so love to attend this event but I will be out of town until October 2. When I get back a lot of money is going into my FR-S, so I will be by no means stock haha. I will be tracking it though and plan on doing as many autoX events as possible. Thanks for the info heeltoe86

No problem. I will probably just open it up to every FR-S/BRZ no matter what level of build and run the PAX system for keeping it fair. The cooler the weather the better I supposed. I may show up to one of these Wednesday meets to greet a few of you owners and also introduce myself.

Vegasdrift Test/Tune Practice Event Sep 21,2012 6:45 pm - 11:45 pm
Vegasdrift 022 Practice Event Oct 6,2012 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Vegasdrift Test/Tune Practice Event Nov 30,2012 6:45 pm - 11:45 pm

Check out Vegasdrift.com for registration and if you have any questions.

Trackday enthusiasts I found a non-timed event held at SOW Willow Springs for $80 all day running CW and CCW the same day. When it comes to trackdays this is really cheap!!

check this link for more info http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13246

I'll also be driving up to Buttonwillow with friends to run with Speedventures on Sep 22http://speedventures.com/events/eventdetail.aspx?id=386

Local event schedule for HPDE will be a PCA event on October13th at SMMR.

So far it's just Cusco Powerbraces, front strut-tower bar, and TRD door stabilizers (I know! That last one put me WAY over the top in competitiveness!) New wheels *should* be here before the end of the month, but I'm planning on sticking with stock tires for quite a while. If it helps, I've got zero track experience (though I think I'm going to sign up for that PCA HPDE day out at Spring Mountain).

Edit: I signed up for that PCA HPDE day out at Spring Mountain.
