All the ecutek tunes have the racerom features like map switching via the cruise control stick and launch control. That part is owned by ecutek. The only difference are the maps the tuners make. You can use my cable and save about 350 $ by doing so.
I think all the tuners give you a base tune after you do some logging send the file to them to fine tune things for you. There is also a open tuning solution available that allows you to make your own maps. People will be sharing maps with eachother on that thread. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |

Welp...brakes are in, bled, and started breaking them in. Slotted rotors breaking in on fresh pads is kinda disconcerting at first because the leading edge of the pad and the trailing edge of the slots makes little thumping noises at first. After a bit of slow braking I did some more aggressive braking to start bedding the pads. So far...just driving around town I can say that these brakes feel 100% better than stock. I think it has to do with the actual pedal feel, more than just the improved braking. You can feel your brakes bite through the pedal, before with stock everything it felt kinda numb. I haven't really gotten on them hard and definitely haven't triggered ABS yet, as I've only driven around town a bit.
I will definitely be writing up a review once I push them a bit harder...sucks that i couldn't have this completed before the LM Open house, but i am sure i can make it some other time. I wanted to do the FIR AutoX but I won't be able to compete due to not being able to spend much time there that day, I have to pack my stuff up and get ready to move that weekend. I'll show up to hang out for a bit for sure though! |

1) did you really read back through that many pages to quote me bitching from September of last year? 2) I've been pretty crazy busy the last few weeks and haven't been up for much after I get off work. I'm on vacation until wednesday this week (needed some time off), so I'll be in touch. |

Haha I get texts from the guy at Tucson Subaru I bought my BRZ from everytime they get a new one in which isn't often. And to captain jack and redleader I'm still down to get some Tucson meets going one of these days. Although I've been busy lately as well and out of town for work a lot.

I had a crazy hairbrained idea of cutting vents in the upper rear section of the front fender wells (all the way into the engine bay) as a method of releasing the positive pressure there to reduce front end lift. Obviously, I'm curious as to how much pressure is ACTUALLY generated there, and what kind of effect this would actually have. I'd put screens over the vents to stop leaves and such from getting in there, and would probably duct the air towards the back of the hood (if necessary) to improve flow. I imagine the increased flow at the rear of the engine bay would also help pull hot air backward and out of the front if the engine bay. Am I crazy? Or does this all seem somewhat legit?
