Pre-registration closes Friday at 6:00 pm. Pre-registration saves money and time. If you have never autoxed, now is great time to start. The weather is good, we provide helmets and instrucion, and the other Toybaru owners are really suportive. So who else is coming besides ....?

most bang for your buck??

Just curious..in terms of hp gains, what aftermarket upgrades would get me the most bang for my buck if I was looking to spend $2000? I'm guessing intake and exhaust?

Yeah intake exhaust and tune are the best places to gain power in a budget. Really you have to get all 3 and the tune has to take advantage of the intake and exhaust. I was just reading an article in a car magazine about cars loosing power after adding the intake and exhaust becasuse the computer is trying to compensate for the changes and takes away some power in the process. Not sure how true that all is but thought it was worth mentioning.

The money is better spent on tires, wheels, and suspension.

Hmmm.. Interesting. I was originally going for I/E/T but anyone else want to put in their 2 pennies. I think it would matter on what you were doing with it.

I would agree both are great options but ultimately it depends on what you want to do with the car.

Tune and tires, the tune actually is the biggest net gain in HP you can get with an NA setup at the moment. Tires will help the car immensely as far as cornering goes. Beyond that a drop in filter is a good idea and maybe some some springs. The car is pretty damn good stock but if power is the route you want to take it's not exactly an inexpensive journey...trust me I know.

The biggest thing you need to do is have an idea of where you want to end up. Take my car for example, I bought my car intending to go forced induction, then i figured out all the mods i would need to support that and built the car around the idea that i would eventually be running almost 500HP on it. Just buying random parts as you go along with no plan as to the final outcome will just cost you more money in the end.

So truthfully, what do you want from the car, what do you intend to do with it, and how much can you realistically spend?

Supermassive got to where I was heading. Depending where you want to be dictates what you should do. Tires are really important with the car, but the tires you buy depend on what you want to do. Aftermarket exhausts don't add much power, they reduce weight and sound cool. Generally, I like traction, suspension, weight, and power in that order.

Well the car is my daily driver..i'm not looking to get too crazy..i'd like to add wheels, tires, and coilovers in the future. The important thing is I don't want to get into voiding my warranty, so I know that will limit my options to a certain degree.

As far as the tune goes..i'm not real familiar with the that..will it void the warranty? what type of gains am I looking at? cost?

And since we are on the topic of tune, I have my own questions especially for you AZ folk. If you have I/E, what do you recommend, a "canned" tune or a local shop?

Do research on fa20clubs tune and also visconi's. I know only of one shop here that will actually tune and that's EMS, I believe from what I was told my intense power, could be wrong. But heard great things on both of those tunes and also Perrin just came out with one that has 4 functionalities using the cruise control stick
