Corvette Stingray reviews out
The embargo is lifted today, and reviews can be found at the usual locations. From what I have seen so far GM has a winner on its hands - incredible tech, but drives like a proper sports car, not like a GTR.
Sounds glorious: (Youtube embedding broken ATM). |

I think the tail lights on the Corvette look a lot better than the Camaro's; plus the square-4 set-up was used on a previous Corvette design. But looks are subjective. By the way, the 2014 Camaro's have straight tail lights now.
That said, I'm glad Chevy hit a home-run on the Corvette (from what I've been reading on reviews). It would be the car I would drive if I had 50k to spend on a car. Long-time Corvette fan. Would probably still have my 5th gen Camaro if not for my recent move and the wife losing her job |

I was happily onboard until I read it weighed 3444 lbs!!
What the hell Chevy. The C6 Vettes were in the 3100-3200 lbs range.

Agreed, I think unless they do something drastic with the c7 performance models or bring the c8 out a whole lot different I will still like the c6 style 100 times better. |

It's actually only about 100 lbs heavier than the comparable C6 model - about a 3% increase, hardly monumental. And the weight distribution is improved to a slight rear bias.

I have to see one in person first before I make any full judgements, but it looks pretty good from the pictures I've seen.
I can't wait until the performance editions start coming in -Nick C.

Yeah certainly a nice upgrade to the C6, but seeing that 3444 lbs figure made me do a double-take. I thought I had read somewhere that the C7s would save weight, not gain it.

Disappointing numbers. I expected it to break into the 11s. I'd still take one though
