STI parts wont come installed. Dealer will want to charge you hourly rates for the installs.

Just be prepared for it.

Close to useless, autoX you'll only shift once (1st to 2nd). Odds are, it'll be a incremental benefit over stock.

My dealer has dealer installed accessories quoted ‘installed’. So there shouldn’t be any funny business.

Yep! They warned me about that. Agreed purchase price didn't include the STI bits. Paid MSRP otherwise.

I'd cross verify that. Hopefully you got hooked up. But at the end of the day, its a dealership.

Honestly I’m not that worried. If they try anything I’ll tell them to hand me the parts as is, I’ll install them myself.

Went to first autocross event today, only spectated. So o basically have no idea what I’m talking about.

How about as a track car?

Tires + Seat time. Nothing else matters when you are starting.

Most important thing is seat time. Any mods wont "Help" until you improve personally. Then the tinkering to fine-tune your skills. In general:
- Seat time
- Tires
- Brakes + Fluids
- Camber (either bolts or plates) + Alignment

Shift kit, is a "nice to have" that is personal preference.

All my personal opinion based on experience. I'm sure someone will say I'm wrong and stupid - lol.

If you’re just starting out autox, a stock car with good tires will give you plenty to learn about car control before modifying anything (besides OEM front camber bolts). You can probably get a year or two off an almost completely stock car without getting bored.

Nice, just checked my order - and none of it shows dealer installed / priced.
- Auto-dim, rear bumper appliq thing, LED lights

Figured I'd do the STI kit later down the line. Cool that yours shows installed!

Now I'm curious, what was the additional cost of labor for those accessories? My order sheet has the same, but instead says "Parts Only MSRP - Additional labor costs may apply"

STI Under Spoiler - Front - 399.95
STI Under Spoiler - Side - 499.95
STI Under Spoiler - Rear Quarter - 399.95

So those cars on cars.com are somewhat unclaimed. I checked with the dealer in FL that had the 2 WRB LIM's. They are in transit expected around Nov 20. I was seriously considering going on a trip to get one rather than wait. But then when I asked about the add-ons it had (since the msrp they listed was a little higher than stock) they admitted it comes with 2800 in dealer installed bullshit that will be added on top. The only useful one was tint, but I wanted to shop that around locally.

So did a random carvana check on my 2013 and it’s too good not to pass up. Talked to a dealer today (closest one to my house, will try others) and they wanted 37,200 out the door for a wrb limited, they are expecting about 3 weeks for delivery

They had some dealer 1800 dollar add on package and 900 dollar dealer fee. I’m going to shop around and see what else is local
