Scion FR-S Concept First Official Pics/Videos + NYIAS Pics and Press Conference

Saw all the newer pics.

For me, this new concept looks overall better than the one they made in Geneva. I guess it's probably because of the MKI look in the front though which I absolutely loved. Sorta amused that the taillights happen look like a concept LFA's, though I wish they didn't... stick out so much compared to the rest of the rear of the car? ^_^;

The only thing I really dislike is the gimmicky Scion brake light in the center. To be honest, I could see them doing that... but as an option, not standard. Though... didn't the Dodge Viper do something similar by having third brake light as the Viper emblem? Though it was more subtle of course...

Still wish they had an interior shot though... but oh well.

2012 is so far away. This car is taking a long time to get to market. Sigh. Makes sense I guess, considering it's a new platform, new motor, new direct injection system for new motors, etc.

On the positive side, it should come with the most up to date drivetrain in the entire Toyobaru lineup.

Thick skin is definitely necessary. Learning how to use the Search bar is also a big necessary.

I loved how they improved the image of the car, but I still don't like the badge. I definitely would love the car a lot more if it were a Toyota.

I love the look and with this first impression of the car I am so far on board to get one when it comes out. As for the engine specs, I am not really to concern with the numbers. I am trying to see this car as a new take on an old favorite. The way the car drives and responses is what is going to sell me.

I need a car that fits the bill as a great daily driver that can have fun autocrossing also.
