Heh. Crickets. Yes. They're a feature, not a problem, @Jen.

Nobody's touching my high pressure fuel pump. It works just fine.

Don't permit "The Crickets" to deter you, Jen.

Hi!

I've been reading these forums for the last three weeks. Tuesday I'll be trading in my Golf R for a 10 series FR-S. Super Excited! Got a KILLER deal.

I haven't had a naturally aspirated daily driven car in about seven years. The Golf is the best equipped car I've ever had, but its boring on the daily, too numb, and thinks it knows better than the driver in closed course competion conditions.

The membership on here seems very open and enthusiastic, can't wait to be a part of the fun!

Welcome Weasel. You'll love it here, great people, who drive a great car, and plenty of knowledge to go around.

Ugh...that's awful! Glad to hear they were able to find you another one so quickly!

Hey guys and gals! I just registered a couple of days ago, I've been lurking for awhile now. I just picked up my Whiteout FRS 3 days ago and I love it lol. Well my name is Chris and I'm 23 years old living in Daytona Beach, Florida. My previous vehicles were mostly trucks (07 tacoma, and 05 Colorado) and I also had an 05 SRT-4 which I loved but got totaled (not my fault). But anyways I hope to hit some autocrosses and some HPDE soon and I hope to see some of you out there!

Hey everyone, new guy to the FT86 world, but a long time car guy. Currently own a 2013 Focus ST and just picked up a used Hot Lava FR-S. Being that the FR-S is a second car/non DD, I plan to use it for several HPDE's this year and some good autocross fun. So far, here are my plans for the FR-S. All safety/maintenance mods for now, I have a lot to learn about driving RWD cars! Your opinions are welcomed!

Yokohama Advan AD08R's (these seem good for a mix of HPDE/track duty and some autocross fun as well)
Carbotech AX6 or Project MU HC+ (I believe these are both a good street/track pad?)
RBF600 brake fluid
Motul engine, transmission and differential fluid change.

Hoping to have some fun with this car! I come from a background of high horsepower straight line cars, but I am loving my FR-S despite it's little engine! Power is NOT necessary to have fun

Hey everybody!

I'm 24 and in the U.S. Air Force and I'm stationed in Albuquerque, NM. Love every minute of it…

I bought my FRS back in September and it was my first new car. Went from a used Xterra to this and don't regret it. A couple of big things I've done to my FRS has been installing a STS rear-mounted turbo, carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber driveshaft, 18" wheels, dropped it 1 1/2", and a rear-seat delete. I've also done a lot of little things from putting on a shark fin antenna, HID lights, etc. etc. etc.

Thought I would join the forum to see what everybody else is doing to their FRS/BRZ to get some good idea!
