And if the 2013 Focus ST approaches VW levels of interior quality I'm going to be a tad jealous.
The interiors are FAR AND BEYOND better than the SI interiors. I owned an 08 Civic EX-L, had a friend with an 08 SI sat and drove both for a long time. I sat in a BRZ Limited and instantly was impressed with the interiors. It is leaps and bounds better than that Civic model.

Now breathe, everything is gonna be all right.

I think my concerns were justified as I didn't want the Limited trim to jack up my monthly price anymore or that seat material that trim uses. I was taking a moment to consider my options, but I will most likely get a WRB Premium Trim BRZ. But since I had to cancel the Limited anyway, I'm just taking a breather to make sure. I got my $500 back, I can get a Premium Trim BRZ by the end of the year I'm sure. I'm in no rush. Later the better really, I want a big down payment and low monthly.

And concidering my options, getting emotional about a blind new brand new model preorder is quite expected. It's a hard decision. I'd be far safer just waiting until I see it. Then there is the X factor of what the 2013 WRX will be, ETC. It's not a clear cut decision for me as it is for some of you guys. I use to own a 2004 SI and 2006 SI and I loved the hatch and the fun of those cars, and I'd like the torque and utility of the Focus ST, so that's the draw there, but I think the BRZ is a better "SI" than the 2012 SI, so that is the draw for the BRZ. So I have lots to concider, and I worry. And I did read that the Subaru interiors are not quite as nice, true or not. So I was worried there too. Sorry!

Not to mention there is waiting for a better price on the BRZ a year from now, the Possible BRZ STI, and the upcoming WRX revamp. Lots to think about.

Yeah, but with the BRZ STI the price will be back up again. So it's best to wait a year after that for better negotiating power. But then the year after that there will be the refresh and... You can see where I'm going with this. :P

There will always be something around the corner. Eventually just have to take that leap of faith.

True, you can't wait forever.

I think (and I maybe wrong), but release of BRZ officially puts the end of life on WRX as we knew it since 2002. In 2014 model they will most likely have 1.6 or 2.0 turbo engines, which will not be sufficient for the car of that size with AWD. But it will bring better fuel economy (who needs that in WRX???)

Its sad to see WRX go backwards. But at least BRZ has an upward trend for now.

When engines get smaller, cars usually get smaller too. :happy0180:

The next WRX won't be going backwards. It should be smaller/lighter and the expectation is that the WRX/Sti will be based on its own platform instead of building up the existing Impreza. This should only improve the performance of the vehicle, especially if it's built on a modified BRZ chassis. I expect the new model to have the turbocharged version of the BRZ's 2.0 engine, despite 1.6 being the spec engine for the World Rally Championship.

We'll see what happens, but a lot of the speculation is talking about a 2 door hatch for the next WRX/Sti. Should be interesting to see what the plans end up being.

PS the WRX had a 2.0l engine in the US till 2006, so reverting back wouldn't be that big of a deal. I loved the 2.0l in my '02 WRX.
