Wasted trip and I got the car all dirty on the wet roads!

Tomorrow, my son wants me to go car shopping with him. He will be looking at FR-S and BRZs first. That is what he wants if he can fit in one. He is 6'4" and 260lbs. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good car dealer? We have Cain Toyota, Park Subaru, Cascade Subaru and Summit Toyota close to us but selection is limited and their prices seem high to me. Cain also has a 370Z he may look at if he cannot fit in the FR-S.
He'll fit. I'm 6'8/300lbs. and fit okay. It's a bit snug, but once in and settled in, I'm good.

You are right. He went and drove a Firestorm 6MT and once he got the seat adjusted it fit him like a glove. I have been following these cars since 2009 and today was the first time that I have ridden in one. The car had 24 miles on it when he left the dealer and we did a nice loop that included a stretch of I 77, some 45 MPH rural roads, train tracks and suburban side streets. I was impressed with the ride and how well it pulls it the upper RPM ranges. The torque dip is noticeable but not nearly as annoying as some make it out to be. You can definitely feel the 500 lbs extra weight that it has over my Spyder but that is not necessarily a bad thing because it give the car a solid feel. My son's G35 and my Spyder both ride a lot stiffer than the FR-S.

He was going to do an online credit app when he got home. He may have the car before this weekend if everything goes as it should.

This is great news! Good luck to your son. Hope he gets it.

We now have a Firestorm FR-S in the family. Cam will probably be attending a Cleveland C&C with the car soon. We are going to the North Canton C&C tomorrow.

Yep, at Jeff's Motorcars. Even the locals are just finding out about it so it is still lightly attended but growing each week.

Here are the first photos of my son's new FR-S. He will be joining the forums soon and starting a build thread to document the mods as we install them.

Done 26, and it is a blast. I still suggest doing 555 from Zainesville to Marietta, then head back up via 26. Drive safe, enjoy, and happy birthday!

Yes, I have done most of those. I agree with Hunter. I would take 250 to 800 then 800 south to 26 then 26 south to Marietta and cut east to 555 then north on 555 to Zanesville. If you want to continue with the adventure then you could take I 70 east to 83 and then drive 83 north all the way to Strongsville. There are so many great roads down in the SE Ohio region. If you want a little side trip then you can try out Car and Driver magazine's favorite test loop.

UPDATE: SOLON CRUISE TUNER NIGHT RESCHEDULE

Alright guys, finally got around to checking back in with the Solon Cruise. As I thought, the "Challenge night" tomorrow is taking precedence and we won't be sharing that event. This event should be interesting, as they have never done it before.

However, there is hope: Tuner night has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 9th according to http://www.rnrcsm.com. Looking ahead in the weather, the forecast isn't exactly peachy right now, but as we all know, that can change in a single day. So pencil it in your calendars, and hope for the best!
