That is the same as the wife’s car. Kids like mine much better.

Maybe he promised him rockets, or at least a cool car? Maybe he is right in throwing the papers? We don't know the back story.....

I don't ever remember my parents asking my opinion on any major purchase.

Occam's razor. He's a spoiled little fucker with an insecure, effete father.

I remember the day, back in the late 50s, my father asked me if I wanted to ride into town with him to pick up our new car. Being about 16 years old, I was all excited and said yes.

When we got to my uncle's dealership, there in the staging area, were two brand new 1959 Chevrolet cars. The stickers on the windows showed the same price. Guess which one my father had ordered? I wasn't asked what I thought of his new car - and I didn't comment -

Oh, the Kingswood, 9 passenger wagon is probably rarer, but the Impala convertible would sell for more.

$50,000 for the wagon or $100,000 for the convertible is something else, since they cost about $3,700 brand new -

Here’s a new one: my parking brake seems to only hold me in place if it’s locked into the top most notch but if I’m remembering correctly it used to hold me fine up to a few notches below it. Is my parking brake toast?
