I'm on the fence about doing the chrome fender piece delete, as my BRZ is black, and the chrome is kind of a nice offset (but I'm not exactly a big fan of basic chrome in general).
Generally you just heat it up and it comes off. It's like a fancy sticker. Blow dryer works fine. I like mine on my car. I've whored this picture elsewhere, but I'll use it as an example anyways. When you follow the car along its side from the fog lights to the parking lights to the fender lights and the badge (then up to the side mirror turn signals in my case) it just flows really well. It breaks up the monotony of having a solid color all along the side. With black this is an issues especially. With a fun color like WRB then chrome is redundant, as well as with silver (which also just looks tacky). I think on red it looks okay, but best on black and dark gray metallic. Not a fan of it on Galaxy Blue.

I feel the same way too, at first I didn't want the chrome on the black but I think it looks fairly nice and subtle. It brings out the black car a bit more, it adds a bit of something else. I really love the stealth look but sometimes everything black just isn't that nice. I find sometimes people overdo the stealth all black everything look.

Which is why finding wheels for a black car is a royal pain in the rear. B/c EVERYTHING is black of some sort only... except for overly flashy silver and sometimes some bad-looking gold or bronze.

Do you actually use the kneepads? I feel like it's just for the looks because I don't hit my knees or rest them at all.

I use mine. My knees rub all the time. I'm 5' 8", seat all the way down and forward a bit.

I have long legs and constantly hit my right knee on the hard OEM "pad". These will be awesome for me! Both aesthetically and comfort wise. This JPM Coachworks stuff is so nice in person. Looks like it should have come that way from the factory. I realize it is not for everyone, but I don't track my car or auto-x it. It is my daily driver and making it as comfortable as possible is high priority for me. (plus I just can't leave a stock car alone, I have a real problem. )

I'm the same height, similar sitting position it seems like and I never hit my right knee, it's always on the gas not hitting or resting on the knee pad area if i'm stopped, nothing that requires a knee pad though.

Hmm, I never really had the problem of my knee hitting it, I rest it on there but I can deal with resting it on the hard pad, never bumped it though.

Took my car drifting and after a few runs the outside of my knees were almost bruised from bracing myself when getting sideways. These pads are a great addition that's useful and looks good.

It's happening on the left too, but the left one just has a few drops around the top whereas the right one has become a complete shit-show.
