Looking into getting my HID conversion kit for the FRS but i dont know which ones to choose from.... I have heard a lot of good reviews on DDM tuning HID kits and looking into purchasing a set from them but looking for some input from you guys.... Link is below for DDM tuning. They come all types of bulbs but i think im shooting for 6k's.... Also a life-time warranty = )

I've used the ddm for conversions I have dine on motorcycles. Never had any problems. 6k is the best color I think. But that's on a 35w if you go with a 55w they recommend around a 8k to get the same look. I've been wanting to do this as well. I hate looking like a model t giving down the road with yellow headlights.

had a set of the 35w raptors with 6k bulbs in my car. It looked awesome but it kept frying my headlamp fuses. Im gonna try the slim ballasts next, I dont recommend using the 'raptor' ballasts with this car. I had the slims on my miata too and they held up for years on that car.

yeah the slim ballast is what i was going to shoot for.... I really need to get this yellow lighting away! But i might be ordering DDM Tuning slim ballast set or just nut up and go for the Xenon HID kits that are running up to 150$ a kit compared to DDM for 45$. Ill make my decision once im driving to class and my lights are on and cant take it and order once i arrive at class. Now what about the little extra stuff you can order with it like the HID harness, error elim, adaptor cables, and mounting brackets? Should i purchase them? But Yruyur when you thinking of upgrading?

we dont need the error elim since we dont have any fancy merc computers. The harness, bulbs, ballasts, and maybe mounting brackets would be good.
Their brackets are usualyl cheap chinese home-depot spec shit that doesnt look great but they do work. EDIT: my mistake, shouldnt need the HID harness unless you are doing 55w. |
