Well after the shock and awl at the sheer size of the store, we soon realized the Made in China toys from America although really cool on TV, were rubbish compare to the JDM toys we were initially raised on from brick and mortar and department stores.

Toys R Us also priced these plastic crap similarly if not more expensive than the heavy diecast stuff that were Made in Japan. Our materialistic Asian parents of the 80's taught us well that shinny and heavy == top quality. Needless to say we were not impressed and never became Toys R Us kids.
