Oh, @spike021 , just tell the old coot you are just waiting for the automatic choke to kick off.

I will tell him this next time I see him. And I'll casually name drop my ol' bud, humfrz, but will refrain from passing on anything about him being called an "old coot".

Maybe they served together.

Honestly George has been in SJ many years as far as I know, so they could indeed know each other.

@Sapphireho going to do a drive Saturday morning. Usual loop basically. Meet up in Saratoga, then 9 to skyline to alice's. If a good enough amount of people show up then it'll be a group drive down 84/pescadero creek and loop back up after a break in the town.

you're welcome to join! details in the usual drive thread.

Sounds like fun. The wife an i were going to do a drive yesterday but we were both too tired, so for sure this weekend. If I can get her up that early, but I would have to feed her at Alices.

I do want to stop at the Humble Sea Brewery in Santa Cruz. It is right off hwy 1 when you first get to town. Their growlers are 32oz cans they fill and can right there. My son brought me a couple for father's day. Very good beer. I wanted to pick up a couple more. I'm usually not impressed with most microbrewery beer, but this place actually makes lagars and pilsners, not just IPAs. I was very impressed.

You pretty much have to wait for the high rev/overlap idle/timing retard to finish before you start driving.

Technically you can start while it's in that mode, but if you have to reverse out of a spot or start maneuvering slowly, it'll keep kicking back into that mode when you clutch in. It's annoying when it keeps trying to kick back into that mode, easier to just let it finish doing it's thing and then set off.

I'm going to push for eating at Alice's after the drive down to Pescadero, but if you want to only do the first leg there that works too.

Sounds like some good beers! I was a bit disappointed this weekend with one I tried.
