She doesn't have to, but when you dress and act a certain way it sends a message. Of course it can be unintentional, but when cues start to add up it becomes damning. There are plenty of women in my gym who dress like that, but don't act like that. Much like the tattoos they send two messages that cancel each other out. This lady sends the double negative vibes so there is evidence, slight, yes, but still evident that she is nursing a need to have people look at her. There's nothing wrong with that if that's who she wants to be, but when you act that way then get upset when people treat you that way, that's ridiculous. The guys in the spaghetti T shirts screaming through every rep and acting douchy get the same. Yes, we established you are a show off. You see nothing wrong with it, I do, but we agree that you are so there is no conflict. Of course you like her, she's you. |

Yeah, but those lessons stick with you, don't they. I still sport scars from my preteens. When I catch them in the mirror I wonder what the hell possessed me to do (insert stupid "awesome" thing.) |

I'm at work, I'm not googling it, but I did this morning before I left the house and you can see a lot more of her if you want. It's not porn, but it's not exactly innocent either. This video aligns with her other "work."
![]() Again, nothing wrong with it, but don't tell me she isn't the thing she demonstrates herself to be. That's just silliness. |

We're at a very strange time in our collective human history. There are folks who've been around longer than I, but there are more who haven't. Compared to where we were decades ago, as a whole the concept of "self" has been elevated to an unprecedented level of importance. "Self-improvement," "Self-worth," "Self-esteem," "The Power of You," "You Deserve (fill in the blank).. and the truly telling biggie, "Selfie." You can't read the news headlines online without being bombarded by celebrity selfies (and non-celebrities) taken with the sole purpose of showing the self-taker's current state of hotness in their eyes. In my eyes, that focus on self is almost a sickness at this point.
There is NOTHING wrong with working out, living a healthy lifestyle, staying fit, working towards a sixpack, running a marathon, body-building.. all that stuff gives you more energy and feels GOOD. I don't like the way tattoos look and, except for service people who've been through hell together and get them to show a lifelong commitment to their service brothers and sisters, don't understand why anyone would want to make such a permanent change in their appearance, ESPECIALLY when it's something anyone can do. It takes no skill to get a tattoo. I guess there's a level of commitment to it, but hardly the same level it takes to lose 100 pounds, get in the best shape of your life, run a triathlon, build a house for a homeless family, or about a ZILLION other things that are way more healthy and will actually do some good. The only thing a tattoo does is change your appearance and the way folks view you, positively or negatively. What good does it do? Are you healthier? Have you helped anyone? The downside? Well, besides the admittedly slight risk of health issues (thanks to careful safety guidelines and procedures these days), you've made it more difficult for folks who do not like tattoos to look at you. Granted, this probably means absolutely nothing to folks who like tattoos and get them; you don't care about the folks who are put off by them and that's certainly your prerogative. I have no problem with folks who like them; I just have a hard time looking at them. PLEASE understand that statement. I don't have a hard time LIKING people who have tattoos.. I have hard time looking at them. To me, no matter how artistically a tattoo is done, they look disfiguring. I don't like makeup on women (or men) either.. the most beautiful women to me are the "girls next door." Give me a relaxed confident woman in worn jeans and a white Tshirt, and I'm in heaven. Fortunately, I found and married one of those 34 years ago. Working on your appearance, to me, means staying healthy and in shape. THAT takes "work" and effort, and is commendable; it says you care about taking care of yourself FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE YOU. Makeup, expensive (and revealing) clothing, and tattoos, to me, are not "working" on your appearance, because none of those takes work or skill other than earning the money to buy that stuff. Yes, getting a large tattoo can be grueling, but it doesn't take any skill to GET one. Ashi, the above paragraph was not aimed at you. Regarding my comment in the "ways to get banned" thread, I think you and Tcoat read it hastily. Nowhere did I say that my values and likes/dislikes are right and that others are wrong. My thoughts are in DIRECT opposition to that; I am very much in favor of folks being able to live how they wish, believe as they wish, and express themselves as long as they do so without harming others. I spoke up because it seemed to me that you felt that those of us who do not like tattoos or people dressing scantily in public unnecessarily in order to show off (your word, not mine) were wrong and not entitled to OUR opinion or viewpoint. That's all. I do not find the fitness model/bodybuilder pictured earlier in this thread attractive at all, but that's just me. When I see her, I see someone who's defaced a work of art. I'm not much for that stern look either.. for me, a smile goes a LONG way. Again, that's just me. I'm certainly not saying others need to share my view. I hope you're OK with some not sharing yours, either.. that's all. Make sense? Tcoat made mention of being banned (again, it's just a game.. I get that.. no one's talking about really banning anyone for their opinions) for suggesting that all folks should agree with me as to what really matters in life. I purposely did not list any specifics as to what really matters in life when I wrote my earlier post because, obviously, what really matters in life can differ for folks. I DO hope that folks have rich enough lives that there are priorities placed much higher than image, looks, and publicity. If image is the top thing on someone's life list, well... that person is missing out on some of the REAL joys in life. Difficult subject, and I'm grateful for this community. We're all here because of a common interest in a great car, and we come from all walks of life, locations, and cultures. The cross-section of humanity here is far more varied than the few other forums in which I participate, AND, for some reason, when disagreements do arise, we all seem to treat each other with more respect than elsewhere (except when the occasional troll or true buttnugget pops up). I don't mean any disrespect to anyone. Best to all, truly. Barry Last edited by MuseChaser; 05-16-2016 at 07:39 AM. |

She is is an attention whore...
I am unaware is she is an actual whore though. I am an ex-bodybuilder (got married...in a perpetual "bulking up phase" now...for 6 years). She is obviously a fitness contestant, or she should be...she has either worked very hard on her body, or she has amazing genetics. Many (most) people who body build are vain and attention whores. I was one of them. This gal is no different. Those shorts that she wore and how she prances around the gym screams "look at me". I do not think she is a criminal or anything. But I do think we can safely assume she is an attention whore. I am sure she would admit she enjoys the attention. These are not negative sleights. These are just observations from 1 video and a quick google search. |

So many haters out there... if you work out you must be an attention whore, if you look pretty you must be stupid, if you drive a big truck you must have a small penis, if you are rich you must be an asshole...
