Yeah, me either. Junk the hybrid crap and just make it a turbo I4. All the hybrid stuff is going to do is add weight and - especially - raise the price.

BMW uses I6's with turbo's that produce 300+hp.....am i the only one seeing that engine in something supra-esque? ...... I can dream anyways.

um...yeah chevy makes 300hp v6's now so what's the big deal?



For a next gen supra to make sense it better be packing something closer to 450 or 500 HP

The only reason this concept exists is hybrid technology. If you don't like it move on already. It will be interesting seeing how this turns out.

I won't move on. I just haven't seen anything worth exciting about a current hybrid yet or even from the electric hybrid or whatever the hell that Tesla is. Which the only cool thing I liked about the Tesla was the giant ass tablet screen in the dash panel.

Maybe this concept might change my mind but it gonna take me some time to do so.

Thank you captain obvious, i was referring to the configuration as both the supra and BMW's have inline 6's rather then V's.

If it does turn out to be the next Supra then it should be competitive with stuff like the corvette, like the original. So that means a ~$50-60k base price with around 400-450hp. That number should be easily attainable with some bigger turbo's and light tinkering of the current I6TT from any -35i model in bmw's range.

A less likely scenario would be the new M3's engine(rumored around 450hp) slotted in, although seeing as the two would be direct competitors with each other, i'm doubting that will happen.

The Tesla Roadster and Model S aren't hybrids. They're battery electric cars. A hybrid car means it has both an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. No wonder they don't fascinate you in the least, you don't even know what they are!
