Might be a silly Q, but does it matter if it's left hand or right hand drive?

After reading your thread I'm keen on this mod now too.
Perhaps you could help me with a few Q's?

1. Is it easy to install for a beginner (not an experienced mechanic myself)!
2. Rough install time?
3. Shorter throw sounds good... Is it smoother than stock, but still with that nice positive feel?
4. I'm assuming it won't affect an aftermarket drive shaft if I want one in future?

I agree,I went ahead and used the red and so far, so good.

Thanks guys, I thought for sure I was going to yank it out (giggity) but it works great now. The loose bolt was the problem.

If your bolt is loose, you don't lose 1st and 2nd, but you really need to wrench it over to the left engage it. Now my problem is it slides so well into those gears and my muscle memory already kicked in for the loose bolt.

1. Pretty easy. You have to be patient, the parts are a little difficult to get to, especially with my big ass ham hands, but if you take it slow and follow the instructions, it's very easy.

2. About an hour at most.

3. In my opinion, it's much more positive in that you feel it go into gear. It takes very little wrist movement now.

4. Shouldn't. It fits in the same footprint as stock but hangs down about 1.5" more for the adapter. I didn't see it even get close to my driveshaft.

Also make sure you have your tools ready. I have hex head sockets which made it easy and definitely have the red loctite ready to go.

Q: would the whiteline transmission mount bushing interfere with the quickshifter? I don't recall it would.

There was a previous owner who installed the kit with an aftermarket driveshaft and he encountered rubbing issues.

I have the kit and driveshaft but have yet to install the bracket piece, I've been waiting to double check this very thing. The aluminum driveshaft I have is different than that poster, but comparing it to the stock driveshaft it is significantly thicker.

Please do post updates once you've finished with the bracket... I am tempted to just go with whiteline bushings...

I wouldn't think so. The bushing is pretty far away from the shifter and a totally different mechanism.

I'm thinking about doing the driveshaft too. What did you get?
