Thanks for the feedback. So theIS-F pretty much didn't feel special? Ok. Try get your hands on a 2011 spec. The car has been continually improved and now has a mechanical LSD and revised rear suspension. Guys that already liked the IS F as well as those who didn't sing it any praise see the 2011 as a far better car.
Cool Cheers for the tip, Yeah i certainly will try to arrange a test drive in the latest model.

I apologize ahead of time if someone already pointed this out in the thread, but I got sick of filtering through it after the first 15 pages.

Did no one else notice that this car is being tested with/against a Mk IV Supra on the ring? The FT86/FR-S would only need 193hp to match the N/A mk IV's power to weight ratio, or 265hp to match the US Spec TT Supra. Both of these goals seem well within reach considering the power output of the EJ20 series of engines, they exceeded these numbers in factory trim with all emissions equipment. Now aftermarket options for the 2j vs teh EJ... that's a different story. It looks like the mk IV (at least in N/A trim) is the target vehicle for the toyobaru.

I'm not saying for vehicle inspiration, I'm saying for a comparative Nurbringring time. Beating an original stock hachi around the ring isn't exactly a challenge anymore (no disrespect, I love me some AE86's).

Oh, here's the link for the video where you can see it driving with the mk IV Supra at 0:34 and 0:57, though this is an older vid without the aero

even in new video, when they park it in garage, you see the same tuned supra parked in front of Toyota garage, together with IS and Avensis Wagon.

So much about SOA blog blabber :-)

It's also been seen running around with a cayman, both on the streets and at the ring when it was just a test mule.

I just want to know why, if the FT-86 II is the base for production, the headlights/taillights got a new shape with some sort of rounded funkiness to them.
