No reason for a butt-hurt response either. It's just the facts.

Like I said earlier, I have a reliable source not 4 miles from me. Still not worth the trouble.

First off, you bought a used car, and secondly, getting rid of the car for what at this point seems to be a minor issue is ass backwards.

What you are thinking of doing is comperable changing out spouses because she/he has a weird-looking toe.

The pumps are effed. I've changed pumps multiple times with no luck. The last change made it even worse believe it or not. I've given up. I'm hoping they have it fixed for the big update/redesign whenever that happens at least

For those of your with exhausts, are there any configurations that drown the crickets out, or can you still hear them due to the high pitch?

Engine idle chirping (cricket) noise poll.

I read someone mentioning possibly getting a tune and having the idle speed changed to around 1k instead of 650 or so to get rid of the crickets. Not a bad idea if you ask me

The first step to reaching oneness with the universe is realizing is that nothing is perfect, and accepting the flaws of those people and things around us. Welcome to the Zen path, my friend. Accept the crickets, love the crickets.

Try Lucas upper cylinder lubricant - about 2 oz per tankful. I won't say that I did it, but I will say that the person who did is VERY happy. Light chirping sometimes, and none other times.

Just a heads up so my new 2015 scion FR-S just hit the break in point at 1,000miles and the lovely cricket surfaced, meaning the problem has not been fix yet on the new model. Mostly likely no new fuel pump that fix issues yet.

Can't help it want to make sure people knows what they are up against and how pests control is not advancing.

On my 2nd tank (1st time fill-up, after the dealer's) with 2015 BRZ Aozora Edition (Canada's Blue.Series). I used 94 octane with 10% ethanol. Currently 600+ kms, which is around 400 miles.

I heard the crickets right away after idling from a drive. I don't recall hearing this before I filled-up, so it's probably because the gas the dealer used was lower octane?
