Watching these Scion videos really annoy me. Their whole corporate advertising mentality just seems so fake. You've got these middle aged executives that are obviously not enthusiast up on stage rambling on about how much they're into drifting, initial d, or whatever else the cool kids are into these days and they aren't fooling anybody.

Yes Scion supports racing but if you're the VP of marketing and can't even change your own tire, don't come out on the stage pretending to be some super enthusiast who's going to be dorriftoing the FR-S around every corner. We can see through your BS and it makes me want to spend my money somewhere else as opposed to supporting your crap.

I like how Subaru does it. Show me the car, a pretty girl, give me the stats and then shut the hell up.

Of course. But at least Cosworth has seen the car and knows it exists and could be interested to make something for the production car.

Im waiting for price before I decide whether or not to pull the trigger. Not gonna sell off the current ride and stuff just to find out that the car is way overpriced. Hopefully the BRZ wont pass 24k meaning the Scion will hopefully sit around 21-22.

So your conclusion is that of all the FR-S owners and BRZ owners that NO one will EVER put on a fender flares or wide body for track use?

If they are out there listening to what has been said here, they should see how important that information is to the car's biggest fans. Enough with the hype and marketing ploys, we obviously like the car, just tell us how much it is already! Quit baiting the hook if you're not willing to reel us in.

You could have bought a $5k dollar cheap vehicle to get you from point A to point B. You act like it's Toyota's fault for the industry not providing you with a car just as good as the one they are coming out with, appears to be.

Keep it real bro...you have no one to complain about except for yourself. You make your own sacrifices...don't start complaining about it.

Since the FR-S now has the navigation system...i will up my estimated price to:

FRS $23k (Pioneer Bespoke aka NAV)
BRZ premium $24k (HIDs, Nav)
BRZ Limited $27K (adds DualZone AC, proximity Push Start, Wing, Leather\Alcantara, Heated seats and mirrors, fogs)

The FRS Nav is most likely an optional piece. Since they posted the standard radio equipped one first.

Would you rather them ramble on about stuff that doesn't relate to their demographic....which IS into Drifting, initial D, Time Attack, AutoX....etc?

In ANY business, when have you EVER seen the executive able to perform the duties and jobs of the bottom line guy? It's that way everywhere man...If you took that mentality, then you might as well stop eating out at restaurants, shopping at grocery stores....etc. Because NO top Exec knows how to deliver a properly prepared dish, or scan grocery items at the check out. But what they know how to do is "manager/business" talk to where it relates to whom they are speaking to.

I hear ya and agree, but in the end the VP is not a good presenter. He seems a bit fake and over the top. He needs to calm down and be more down to earth and real.

But overall I think Scion is doing a good job.

Nope I bet it not going to be optional...will be standard. My prediction. That radio we saw back in November was a place holder. They did not want you to see the Pioneer Bespoke system yet because it was not ready.

Why do some people still think that navigation systems still have to cost $1000 to $2000 when every smartphone has a built in GPS navigation?

They wanted to add some tech to the car and this was it. Hopefully it is good.
