my cage isn't rattled. Far from it actually. What aspects exactly didn't you like as opposed to the E46 and RS4, and what year IS F did you drive? Not plastic

![]() @Leeky the exhaust tips can't be plastic, I doubt there's any plastics which can withstand the heat from the exhaust when you're at full throttle. Besides that, what's so bad about adding a little piece of metal that adds virtually no cost and weight to make it look better? IS-F is supposed to be a luxury car afterall, it needs to look sophisticated. |

They do look great, except fender vents, but they are not functional. That's the reason people don't like them. I do like them a lot, but not that friking fender vents. I really like the fender vents on Mk1 tho.

As much as I don't care about looks, the fender vents are a travesty in my opinion. However, if the car weighs under 2500 pounds, Toyota can put Hello Kitty stickers on it for all I care.

In its favor though I do remember a few things i really did like! The blips on the down changes Nice little touch indeed along with the 8 speed box and the Sat Nav/Reversing Camera which i also liked. In the E46 i felt like i was in something very special. Very driver orientated and high quality with everything just where you need it. From the drivers seat i think the E46 M3 beats the RS4 and IS-F hands down. But then after buying the E46 i wouldn't go back to a BMW for love nor money. Interior aside, the rest of the cars build quality is shocking. I had endless issues with mine and there are things on it like the clutch delay valve which just drove me crazy. It just doesn't make any sense in ruining the feel of the clutch for the sake of a delay valve to stop people with no driving skill from breaking the clutch by poorly shifting. (Toyota - Dont you dare put a clutch delay valve on the FT86! lol) The RS4 doesn't feel as special as the M3 but does give you that 4WD confidence to drive as fast as you can as you feel complimented by the car. A lot like the way an Impreza, Lancer Evo and GT4 makes you feel. But i went off Audi's as soon as i researched Quattro gearboxes and found out how weak they apparently are. So with the Audi out of the running i chose the BMW over the Lexus. Which was a gamble as i had never owned a German car before and had owned two LS400's in the past which i liked a lot. This was mostly because the BMW overall drove better, cost less to buy and felt better from the drivers seat. It was a bad decision though i'll admit. As i had more problems with the E46 than i had from my old 1988 Lotus Espirt! So much for German Engineering! Im back in a Japanese car now and intend to keep it like that lol

Lower engine bay temps, and not worry about rain/dirt getting in. They line up with the details of the car and are not overdone.

I wouldn't mind "just" 180. Hell I'll take 150, but if they do that Toyota better make it less than 2400. I'm mainly looking for a car as close to the Elise as possible, but without the attendant Elise problems (rear toe-links, oil lines, rubbing fender liners, falling trim bits, etc.) and with a fixed roof from the factory. I don't need nor want big power.
