Hi everybody! Newbie here! Lurked around once in a while but figured I join since I just ordered a Monogram (Raven 6MT) Wednesday night. Now the waiting begins, but at least it gives me time to do plenty of research to find the right parts I need! I used to have a S2K AP1 (Berlina Black) but sold it and currently have a tC RS6. I'm sick of FWD and really need another black RWD car. Was leaning to the BRZ because of the interior features but when I saw the Monogram has all the same features I just had to pull the plug on it. I'm a sucker for limited editions!
This looks like a great forum and I appreciate the work you mods do to keep it up, and I appreciate all the great info on here (I've already learned a ton!) Here's a couple of pics of what I did have (well I still have the tC but not for long): |

Nice AP1, I was actually choosing between the S2K (in BB) and the FR-S... I just found the FR-S to be more practical for daily driving. Oh, and black paint is a PITA to keep clean but nothing looks better than a freshly detailed black car IMO

Hi everyone!
I'm from South Africa, Cape Town! and I'm a new and proud owner of the Toyota 86/FR-S! I have been following this car since when it was announced and finally driving one! Loving this car so far, and have so many plans for it...but unfortunately its still new so it will take sometime for me to actually start doing something decent on it. Anyways, I'm not sure if I'm the only one...but I find the rear suspension..."soft"? Because if I pull the parking brake, I find the car bouncing forward and backwards a tiny little when stopping? and when I'm parking on a hill, the car feels like its sinking "backwards" and not down?....not really a problem, it just feels weird compare to my previous car. Also, I find the transmission and clutch a bit difficult to use...sometimes it goes into gear easily sometimes you might need to force it with clinking noise... Anyways! Good to be here!!! Regards Key |

![]() About the rear suspension being "soft" ..... this is the first I heard it described this way (when setting the parking brake). Some folks find the clutch takes some getten used to .....it's a bit "soft" feeling and has a relatively high engagement point. Yep, the MT can be a bit stubborn, especially when going into 2nd gear, when the transmission is cold. Some say it will get smoother with age. Have a great driving experience! |
