TRS Tow Strap - Current TAS 2013 Trend ^_^

Packaged arrived from England today. Looks to be my "TRS" Fabric tow strap(which is all the rage at 2013 TAS apparently)

Pictured below is the GReddy/Trust Scion FR-S sporting one of these Tow Straps.

Enevelope via "Royal Mail"

Vacuumed Sealed Bag

The bare strap. Red fabric part is 230mm x 50mm dimensions.
Triangular metal bracket is 70mm wide and 65mm from apex to base.
Diameter for the hole is 14mm, but needs to be larger to accomodate the stock mounting thread.

Location of where the tow strap will reside. As you can see the foam around the mounting hole will need to be cut away.

There is enough room to cut away a slit into the cover to feed the tow strap through if you wish so it resembles the strap on the GReddy FR-S

Comparison of weights: 447g for the STOCK OEM metal tow hook

Comparison of weights: 143g for the TRS Fabric tow strap. 300g weight savings!

The metal bracket securing the strap will have to be modified also. The hole isn't big enough for the thread.

Close up exhaust video from BBT night.

Went to our bubble tea meet with another 20 odd 86/BRZ owners. It's kind of a weekly thing where people from our facebook group catch and meet up, talk about mods, etc.

Had someone interested in my exhaust setup and wanted a close up video of my car revving. I decided to rev it at its loudest(between 3.8krpm and 4.8krpm).
[ame]http://youtu.be/etZWcQ2eaBs[/ame]

Ordering the MOTIV *CATTED* front pipe to replace the HKS front pipe. Reason being I'm not too fond of the smell or the soot coming from such a straight through system. The sound of the exhaust sounds good to me so far. Maybe hoping the tone of the exhaust will be a little bit lower pitched with the catted MOTIV pipe, but still as loud

26th July, 2013

Forgot to update what I did on the 26th July.
Whiteline KDT925(diff bushing) came in today.
Also, had my TRS tow strap modified so it will fit a M16x1.5 bolt for the tow hook. Now.. to look for a M16x1.5 bolt.. preferably in Titanium..

Some happy snaps as usual.

MOTIV Front Pipe Install

Installed my TREE HUGGING CATTED MOTIV Overpipe at 2:00am this morning, finished up 4:00am.
(Had to wait 30mins for the exhaust to call down, then jack up the car on stands, install, etc)

MOTIV Front Pipe is on left side of the car(right side of pic) on the floor.

A sight that not many people see - close up of overpipe.

They call it the 'overpipe' because it goes *over* the steering rack

Hey Steve, pardon me asking.. What kind of jack do you use? And where did you get it from? I've been running around Perth looking for a suitable jack but clearance of the aero kit and the depth of the jacking point are an unfriendly combination.

Cheers!
