You know, that's what this forum has been missing. A full-blown, hyperbolic console debate. Thank you for your service. I'm glad someone who has tried every controller ever made has added their wealth of experience to this discussion.

![]() Who said anything about the sticks? Throttle and brake is where you need fine control. Never liked the PS controller, never used a wheel I liked because I never committed to a whole chair setup, at that point I got into real cars so I trailed off.

TBH I really liked The Duke original Xbox controllers, that and like the dreamcast were the only ones that comfortably fit my mitts.

![]() Amazing depth of tuning and modifications, all of which had realistic effects on the car. An extensive car selection and large amount of both real and fantasy tracks. It's easy enough for a beginner to pick up and in-depth enough for a serious car or racing sim fanatic to enjoy. The gamepad controls are the best of any racing game I've ever played. I loved Gran Turismo, but I was never a big fan of racing wheel controllers, which that series really relied on for control. Forza is the only game I've put over 100 hours into, disregarding my childhood Counter Strike addiction. 4 specifically, because Forza 5 focused too heavily on a DLC-based sales model, and in Forza 6 they took out Tsukuba Circuit, which is inexcusable. Also the menu system got clunkier (and trust me, you'll be spending a lot of time in the menus of these games).

Although I did really like Project Gotham Racing 2, I think that may be the most 'fun' racing game barring the aforementioned Mario Kart and Star Wars Pod Racer. Edit: Also, original Xbox you could rip cd's to your harddrive and play them in game. 10/10 |

the menus in the GT games are fine, except for GT 4 that one is a mess. GT 3 was probably the most easiest menu to navigate through.
