BTW, why both ends are made different / not interchangeable / with welds and connecting place at different tube length? Imho making both of them same way might result in slightly cheaper manufacturing, no? And even if tips are not round but directional, if they are not welded on, it shouldn't keep from making ends same? Or it's this way only in prototype?

Finally, for FT-86 owners without hearing impairment, something may be coming to deal with the very high noise level.
Thank you so much for your effort. I will be very interested if an exhaust system is available to, in order of priority: 1 Reduce interior exhaust noise by at least 2dB; 2 No loss in power; 3 Good reliability (especially rust protection); and 4 No increase in weight. When the final product is finished, in order to make an informed purchase decision, please provide the following information: 1 Interior noise, OEM stock vs New Product; 2 Airflow (power and torque), OEM stock vs new Product; and 3 Weight, OEM stock vs New Product. I think this is the way too go, too meet the requirements that I'll think even the US and Asia is facing soon enough.
In many countries in Europe, we already have a 95db noise level on the track, and that ladies and gentleman is under full load, usually on the start/finish straight ![]() I don't know off any body, running an aftermarket exhaust in Sweden that haven't bin modified whit more efficient dampers, or the most common make there own exhaust. If you exceed 95db on the track in Sweden or Norway you get the black flag and that's it, no more racing for you my friend, and this is registered in your race book, so if don't have it sorted out to next race, you don't even make it out on the track. The same goes if you don't have a catalyst on the car ![]() But here a 100cel will do. And i think that this is were the rest of the world is heading to, if the environmental folks get too say ther point, and usually what they say is the law ![]() So if you make race exhausts that's quite you will get too sell more of them, that's what I think. |
