Oh I did. I really did. Went through 90% of the summer hitting 100+ and 90%+ humidity. Wasn't until I started hitting traffic jams regularly that I finally fixed it. Sitting still was hell.

I would do something a bit heavier just to be safe. I'm going to be using motul 300v 5w-30. I have a friend using 10w-40 which was recommended to him. Best if you have an oil cooler in socal just to be safe on hotter days, and especially if you'll be driving hard.

Thats just what I have experience with. My temps are well within what I call acceptable. The Skunk2 oil cooler kit works well for me. I'm sure there are many other oil's you can run but i'm happy my results.
