What I like is the tailights don't look like to Altezza! I've already been asked if I put aftermarket lights in the back...the last thing I would do is crap it out with Altezza's!
These...spot on! Thanks for taking one for the team

Well here is somewhat the finished product. I already have paint chips on my headlights because I never got to put my clear tint on top of them. Sooooo.... Im gonna have to strip them. Or try to at least. I already planned on getting another set of headlights to do a retrofit on so i guess I will be making that purchase sooner than expected. I will just use these to play with.
The bottom turn signals and side markers are tinted. Same for the reverse lights. ![]() ![]() ![]() There is no paint code for the tailights. The mixture was just eyeballed. The paint used was sherwin williams automotive paint. |

You'd be better sanding the lens instead of trying to paint-strip it off. Paint stripping the lens will make it look a cloudy crappy way. I smoked my front rx8 orange reflectors and tried to strip off the little dots on the clear plastic.
It didn't work so well. Using a vinyl overlay instead of painting the lens would be easier to remove and protects the lens from going yellow, too. I don't like the red tailights on the body color. It would look awesome on a red/hot lava car though. To each their own. But it would make it more stock, but a lot of cars these days are going with the clear lens as stock or using a combination of red and clear (turning). Per http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2913448: 1500 grit sand paper. wet sand it off. than 2000 grit wet sand, than use polishing compound. use masking tape on all painted surfaces
