Sort of! Police will still need to be informed if the total damage is over $2000 between the two vehicles but each individual insurance will cover the damage.

^Yuuuuup. (Ironically) When my Si was totalled last year in Feb (girl pulled left out of traffic without looking... put me into a pole and fire hydrant...), this is exactly what happened. Granted my insurance then contacted her's to get claims and stuff, but I only had to call my insurance and give them the info and police report.

But I believe giving cash to stranger is illegal in the US
Giving cash to strangers is not illegal here. Lol

Well, it depends on if you get something in return, if you know what I mean.

I'd say that for meticulous people it's a good idea to learn some skills in body rapair (fixing scratches, dents, PDR, ...). At the end of the day it isn't that hard and doesn't require that much equipment (much small body repair can be done in home mecanic conditions). It requires a lot of time and patience, that's exactly what this kind of meticulous people is willing to spend, and most professionals don't (that's why body repais is often a mess... or not as good as it should be).

A drunk driver ran into the back of my dad's car as he was driving it home from the dealership in 1982. My dad went up to the driver, pulled the keys out of the ignition, and threw them into the woods, and then drove off.

It was disturbing. The poor car got molested and it couldn't say anything!

And older than you, Tcoat. If it was a 26/27 year old and not 'Murican obese, then I would say keep going. But nope, she wasn't sadly.

pretty simple, ask for her insurance info, if she doesn't provide it you can either file a police report for a hit and run or kick in her quarter panel, doors, windows and then pay a bumb 20$ to shit in her car.

your call

Update

A school bus backs into one of our delivery trucks yesterday while it was parked in our parking lot. Did $3000 + damage. Insurance called today and said the bus driver is not responsible for the damage. The claim will be made through our insurance only. No fault to us but could not confirm if it will or will not affect our rates. Anything wrong with this picture?
