Just about all the things Tyler said above but I want to add..

Toyota Matrix. (Girlfriend's car).

There's no comfortable seating position for the passenger and sitting it in makes me so agitated that I'm hyper focused on her driving which makes me perceive perfectly good driving habits as awful. Also driving that car is so terrible that after 10 minutes I'm literally thinking: "I'll pay whatever it costs to light this on fire and watch it burn to the ground." And the rear hatch has this stupid net/latch system that's always a pain in the ass and never works as expected.

Disdain for that car... disdain.

I thought I would see more of these but it really grinds my gears when you have a douche or duchette behind you or coming in opposite direction with their high beams on and these aren't older cars where the high beam is actually a bad low beam on any other car, these are new cars.

-Slow drivers on the left lanes specially where marked " slower traffic keep right"
-Speeding speeding up when you put a blinker to switch lanes.
-Tailgaters..
-Texting, make up..

So my question to you guys, is what grinds your gears while driving?
People.

there's this strip of hwy I have to drive to work everyday for the next week or so where people just drive slow. I'm talking 10mph UNDER the limit and to make matters worse they'll ride right next to someone blocking anyone from passing them. it makes me rage so much. they know they're doing it to because if one turns off the other will find the accelerator to keep you from passing them so they can get next to the next car and block you some more. it's really the reason I don't carry my gun in the car anymore.

That confuses the tailgater, and the majority of them will back off.

I bought a set of Supertones to replace my stock horns. They're waiting for me to get time to install them. I was thinking of relocating the stock horns under the rear bumper so I can honk at tailgaters to confuse them even more.
Good suggestions! It's like throwing meat for a wolf.

-People that say "I'm a great driver" but I've seen them drive and they're f*cking garbage. Swerving through traffic at high speeds makes you a WRECKLESS driver, not a good one.

-People who hesitate and are incapable of making a decision while driving.

I could go on all day, and that's just while on the roads. Don't even get me started about grocery stores, or better yet, Wal Mart....

In short:

What grinds my gears? People...
Oh man.. Wally world is the place to people watch and be a judgmental asshole.. part of me feels guilty, but part of me says that they bring it on themselves.

A lot of people don't realize that when they're driving, they have ONE task.... DRIVE! Put your phones down.. they will be there when you get to your destination, but if you don't put your phone down.. you might not be there.

I forgot to mention on ramps and merge lanes.. SURE let's get on the highway going 45 because I can't comprehend how to accelerate my car!

People that use the wrong words for things...

Though the irony often makes me chuckle... Wreckless drivers are good. Reckless drivers, not so much. But its a mute point because I'm not saying anything, which also makes it moot... And if you don't break for idiots, maybe its because your brakes work...

Drivers? The impatient. Let that jerk in, it doesn't matter but you can feel smug about it. Stay out of the passing lane. Unless you're actually passing. Gas doesn't count. You'll get where you're going.

People talking/texting and driving erratically or very slowly as a result. 9 out of 10 times when I'm stuck behind someone going 10 under the limit while roads are clear is because they are looking down at their damn phone.

Or my favorite is when people almost swerve into my lane because they are on their phone...
