"UPDATE" the JL Audio Stealth box is almost complete. It will consist of the new TW3-10" dual voice coil sub that will mount on the right side of the trunk (facing the rear of the car). This is an awesome looking speaker (saw it at CES) that from what I have heard will out perform a 10W3v3. That is rather a big deal considering that it is probably a third of the depth of the 10W3v3. I can't wait!

This is weird, cuz I just got an email back from the regional sales director for JL (the region that includes Arizona) and he said the stealthbox for the FRS was in early development and wouldn't be out for another 3-4 months. Wouldn't a brz box fit an frs?

^^^ they are identical. The trunks are the same on the inside. It will be less than 3-4 months from what I have heard.

Then I wonder why he said what he did. Maybe it was just a canned auto-response, but who knows. Here's all I got from the guy:

"We are starting development of a stealthbox for the BRZ. Very early stages of development. Could see something 3-4 months from now"

^^^There probably has been an update that he has not been aware of or something like that. All in all, we wait in anticipation. JL stuff is great and worth the wait.

Its been months since we heard anything on this. Does anyone have an idea what is going on with this project? I would really love to have a custom JL enclosure vs something more conventional.

C'mon, another week of silence? The twins are the hottest thing since sliced bread. Did JL not notice the scores of them at SEMA? I'm going to knock together my own box this weekend or next but I would like to see JL finish this thing or at least tell us what is going on.

My buddy that works at a JL dealer said they will have the TW3 10" subs next month, since that is the sub they plan to use i would guess around february before we see anything.

Joe, thanks for the useful info. I watched this video that explains the new sub and I'm sold.

http://http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?...%3DjIMEbqr_TQg

The competing products just cost too much and aren't flexible enough in woofer options. This enclosure with the state of the art sub should be an incredible option for the twins. Now I will go knock together my temporary box for the subs I have to hold me over.
