OFT does a full write. Tactrix (and at times Ecutek) do partial writes. Does a full write eliminates the possibility of writing an incomplete or corrupt file to the ECU. Ecutek operates in its own "close" environment so it minimizes this risk. Tactrix assumes the end user is knowing what he is doing and isn't held responsible when he doesn't. We have to be a bit more cautious than both since the OFT operates in an open environment with "hybrid" maps and pseudo CAL IDs.

OP2 tactrix is very fast about a min per flash.
