You'd be $60 or $70 in on this car unless you had a pretty extensive Lego collection to borrow. I have well over 100k pieces, but I would probably still have to buy some to build his design.

I'd pay $100 (like I did for the mini) if it was as well done as the MINI. As it sits, it lacks some of the cleanliness that Lego sets usually have.

This is too cool. Supported! For everyone raising concern over the lack of polish, Lego always redesigns the winning models before releasing them as sets.

im sure when lego engineers get their hands on it, it will be just like the mini but better since its an 86 and not a mini

Oh great I see a whole new Vs. thread developing!
If the Lego FRS had 2 more curved blocks just behind the rectangular blocks, beside the engine, it would kick the Lego Mini's ass on turns because the Mini's curved blocks are two pegs closer to the inside the of flat base plate.

Yea, as mentioned above, they usually tweak before it is actually released. I do think it will be more of a challenge than the mini due to the low sleek shape and fender sexiness of the 86. They are doing a whole line of super cars, though, so maybe they have some tricks up their sleeves.
