Wow...Compared to some of you guys I don't plan on doing much. I plan on switching out the wheels and tires, adding a small sub to the factory stereo and tinting the windows as soon as I buy my FR-S. In fact I will have the wheels/tires and sub before I even order my car.
After the warrenty runs out I will do a slight performance oriented drop, intake, exhaust and maybe SC. Nothing fancy. Maybe 50 to 75 hp over stock.

I think if i got a BRZ, i would debadge the "BRZ" and "SUBARU" off the back and replace it with a new badge that says, "ZENITH." I would place the new badge where "SUBARU" used to be.
I haven't been fond of the names BRZ or FR-S, and kind of thought ZENITH would have been a better name for the Subaru version.

Exterior
-17 x 7.5, +43 offset, Volk CE28N, in gold w/ polished lip (yes, aiming for as close to stock size as possible) -Big goofy carbon-fiber Sard GT wing, painted to match (leaving end-caps in CF). Waiting for the 86/ BRZ specific version available in August -unless something better comes along, TRD body kit (waiting a while, anyway, just to see what's available) -Toyota Badges -*maybe* a Modellista antenna Interior -driver's side Recaro Sportster CS, w/ universal airbag -*maybe* head unit replacement with something that has navigation Performance -TRD door-gap brace thingies (yes, even I'm snickering listing this under "performance") -TRD strut-tower brace ...and more will follow as products become available, tested, reviewed, etc... I have a strong suspicion Cusco will get a lot of my money, as I had a lot of their products on my 03 WRX, and loved them. Once the warranty is expired, I'll look into turbo kits, and see if they're worthwhile or not. But I'm planning on upgrading slowly; putting one piece on, evaluating it, then adding another. I don't want to upset the balance of this car by dumping a ton of thing on it all at once, then trying to figure out why it's not as fun anymore. |

I am keeping it simple. Waiting for everyone to figure out the best bang for buck reliable DD power enhancement, whether it be turbo, SC, or something else. And the drive train enhancements that may be necessary for the added power. That way I only have to pay through the nose once.
Other than that I'm going to get some wheels and tires, probably keep stock suspension unless there is a big reason to change it, and get some brake pads once I start attending track events. |

It would be nice if someone made a sticky thread which contained within it a few performance bundles. Examples: All prices and items are just thrown together for examples. Bundle #1: HP Gain: 15 / Cost: $750 Mod #1: Blah Blah - $125 - 5HP Mod #2: Blah Blah - $300 - 5HP Mod #3: Blah Blah - $325 - 5HP Bundle #2: HP Gain: 35 / Cost: $900 Mod #1: Blah Blah - $500 - 17.5HP Mod #2: Blah Blah - $400 - 17.5HP Bundle #3 HP Gain: 60 / Cost: $2,600 Mod #1: Blah Blah - $800 - 20HP Mod #2: Blah Blah - $750 - 20HP Mod #3: Blah Blah - 1050 - 20HP And so on. Additionally, maybe do the same with suspension, only instead of "HP Gain" it could be "Levels of Adjustability" or something. Also, for each bundle a list of sources and vendors could be listed to coincide with each modification. This way, it can fit the customer's level of performance desired with their allotted budget.

You're right. I didn't expect something that well put-together to happen soon as i'm aware that many aftermarket parts are still in pre-production. However, i think lists like that will be great in 6 months.

The coolest part of reading these, and the one on yours, is knowing that things haven't changed much since my days of building an AE86, the original 86! Chase your dreams, and grab it with your own hands, and embrace it when you do, and share it when you have more than you can handle! That's my way of cars and running things with others at Club4AG. ![]() It's how we won SCCA SOLO2 National Championship and how we brought D1 Grand Prix to the USA. It's your turn folks!

I have heard that 04-07 STI Brembo's bolt right up to the front, and 08+ STI Brembo's bolt up to the rears. Something to think about...
